Nvidia RTX 50 Super series launch tipped once again, later than expected

For quite some time, speculations about Nvidia’s ‘Super’ series of RTX 50 GPUs have been doing the rounds, with contradicting release windows. Now, a new report claims a CES 2027 unveiling, despite previous reports still committing to a late 2026 timeline.
The information comes from a Chinese publication, Benchlife. It does not state what the source of the information is, but it seems to be industry insiders. As per the report, the RTX 50 Super series GPUs will be announced at CES 2027, which will take place in early January. Originally, these GPUs were expected at CES this year, but that didn’t happen. Nvidia instead focused on AI and datacenter products.
Earlier in February this year, another report claimed that the RTX 50 Super cards will not arrive in 2026. Then, a few days later, another report cited a Q3 2026 launch for at least one of the cards in the Super lineup. There has been contradictory information about the launch for some time now, so scepticism about the latest information from Benchlife is completely warranted.
For now, leaks and rumors about the RTX 50 Super cards suggest that there will be an RTX 5060 Super with 12 GB VRAM, RTX 5070 Super with 18 GB, RTX 5070 Ti Super with 24 GB, and RTX 5080 Super with 24 GB. These will be based on the new 3 GB GDDR7 memory chips, currently present in the new laptop RTX 5070 with 12 GB VRAM and the laptop RTX 5090 with 24 GB VRAM.
