The Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Super release date has become a hot topic as of late. Since the initial rumors of a Q4 2025 launch started surfacing earlier in the year, we’ve seen conflicting accounts of the exact release window of the RTX 5070 Super, the RTX 5070 Ti Super, and the RTX 5080 Super. It is now looking increasingly likely that the RTX 50 Super cards won’t launch in 2025 and will only see the light of day in 2026.
Benchlife has now issued an update regarding the situation by claiming that the RTX 50 Super release date could fall sometime between March and May 2026. This would place the RTX 50 Super launch between late Q1 and early Q2 2026. The outlet has also revealed that no AIB partner has received any “project opening notice” from Nvidia, which pretty much rules out a 2025 launch.
If we have to speculate, we can see Nvidia confirming the existence of the GeForce RTX 50 Super GPUs at CES 2026 without announcing any pricing or release dates. This would serve nicely to build hype around the RTX 50 Super cards, following which Nvidia will formally release the trio at the end of Q1 or early Q2 2026.
Specs-wise, leaks have so far claimed that the RTX 50 Super lineup will consist of three GPUs: The RTX 5070 Super, the RTX 5070 Ti Super, and the RTX 5080 Super. Aside from a 4% CUDA core increase for the RTX 5070 Super, VRAM increase and a TDP bump are likely the only noticeable improvements over the vanilla GeForce RTX 50 series cards for the RTX 50 Super GPUs.
Fortunately, Nvidia is expected to keep the prices of the RTX 50 Super boards the same as the non-Super cards. We suspect it is not because Nvidia has suddenly become generous, but because of market conditions that have now improved to the point that you can finally buy GeForce GPUs like the RTX 5070 easily at MSRP.
