8BitDo releases colourful new Bluetooth wireless controllers but with two major catches

8BitDo has now begun selling its latest wireless controller refresh. To recap, the company brought the 8BitDo 64 Classic Grey to Amazon a few days ago. Priced at $44.99, the Classic Grey variant will not begin shipping until January 30, 2026 at the earliest. Unfortunately, the company's new releases are due to reach consumers even later.

Specifically, 8BitDo's new round of 8BitDo 64 refreshes are not scheduled to leave warehouses until sometime during February 2026. Not only that, but 8BitDo has not even provided specific shipment dates yet, despite Analogue apparently guaranteeing Christmas deliveries for its accompanying Funtastic Limited Edition versions of the Analogue 3D. For reference, 8BitDo's new controllers are compatible with Android, Windows, Switch and Switch 2 too rather than just the Analogue 3D.

While these consoles are already sold out, 8BitDo has stock of all 8BitDo 64 Funtastic Limited Edition controllers. As a result, one can still freely pick up the 8BitDo 64 in Clear, Jungle, Watermelon, Smoke, Ice, Fire, Gold and Grape finishes. Incidentally, all but the Gold version have translucene finishes. 8BitDo claims that all colours are available in 'highly limited quantities', albeit without providing any further information in this regard.
