DVX has introduced the Night Storm X3, a dual-sensor night-vision system with 4K recording, a 1500-meter laser range finder, 950 nm IR illumination, and a 20 TOPS AI Fusion processor. It is launching via a Kickstarter campaign.

DVX's Night Storm X3 is a new night-vision device built around a dual-sensor architecture with integrated long-range measurement. The system uses a monochrome Luma-X sensor and a Chroma-X color sensor, which is processed through a 20 TOPS AI Fusion Engine. Input from both the aforementioned sources is merged at sub-pixel alignment to produce a unified 4K image output. The system is specifically designed to maintain color visibility in extremely low-light environments reportedly down to 0.0001 lux, with optional AI upscaling to 6K.

The X3 includes an upgraded 950 nm infrared module that operates with no visible glow, which is intended to avoid position exposure during nighttime use. Infrared illumination supports viewing up to 1500 meters, and the built-in laser range finder offers distance readings at the same range with a digital crosshair interface.

The system records native 4K video and captures 52 MP still images, using an f/1.4 lens with a 42 mm focal length and a 13-degree field of view. Other features include 8× digital zoom, daylight and starlight modes, electronic and gyro stabilization, and picture-in-picture display for simultaneous zoom tracking and full-scene visibility.

The Night Storm X3 includes a close-to-eye viewfinder, a 3-inch 360 × 640 display with eight brightness levels, illuminated buttons for dark-environment operation, and on-device audible alerts. Connectivity support includes Wi-Fi app control, USB-C, audio recording, and TF card storage from 4 GB to 512 GB. However, there's no internal memory.

Power requirements are handled by a 5,100 mAh battery rated for up to 24 hours of operation with infrared disabled. DVX claims that fast charging reaches 80 percent in 45 minutes and full capacity in roughly one hour. The system weighs 750 grams, measures 154 × 229 × 68 mm, and is IP65-rated for dust and water resistance. Operating temperatures are listed between -20 °C and 50 °C.

Included accessories are a carrying case, neck strap, USB cable, protective lens cover, and documentation including a two-year warranty. DVX states that retail availability will begin through their Kickstarter campaign, which is now live, with discounted early-backer pricing before full retail pricing is announced.
