Xiaomi debuts 27-inch portable Smart Home Screen Max with built-in battery

Xiaomi has introduced a new portable smart display in China, the Smart Home Screen Max. It comes with a 27-inch 1080p screen that's fitted to a mobile stand. The stand itself offers multiple adjustments, including vertical lift and vertical rotation. It's also possible to tilt the display 20° upward and 25° downward.

Given that it's a portable smart display, Xiaomi has integrated a battery into the Smart Home Screen Max. It has a rated capacity of 9,700 mAh, and the company claims that this allows over 13 days of standby time.

Software-wise, the new 27-inch portable screen is powered by Xiaomi HyperOS, and it's not likely to be based on Android. Xiaomi notes that there's a customized app store that offers access to different smart applications, including fitness-focused apps.

Users can also connect their devices to this smart screen through both wireless and wired modes. Speaking of which, it comes with multiple ports of external connections, including HDMI 1.4, USB Type-A, and USB Type-C ports.

Other highlights of the portable smart screen are 128 GB of storage, an 8-core processor, 6 GB of RAM, smart home control, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.4. The Smart Home Screen Max is currently available to pre-order in China at CNY 3,999, and it's expected to make a proper launch on August 21, alongside the Redmi Note 15 series. At the current stage, it's unclear whether Xiaomi will bring this product outside the Chinese market, but the LG StandbyME is a proper alternative for the global market.
