Lenovo develops the ultra compact ThinkPad X300

Lenovo designed the ThinkPad X300, which is the most lightweight and thinnest notebook of its class. Furthermore, an internal DVD-RW drive is installed as well.
The new ThinkPad X300 by Lenovo is made for business users. It is very compact, lightweight and thin, and only weights 1.33 kg. Its thinnest part measures only 1.85 cm, and its battery runtime will be up to 10 hours, with the maximum number of batteries. The installed CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and 4 GB of working memory can be built in. The 13.3” display is equipped with LED backlight, and provides WXGA+ resolution. This backlight is brighter than normal ones, and needs less power at the same time. A 64 GB solid state disk is installed, and a DVD-RW drive can be bought as well. The ThinkPad X300 provides some security features, like a finger print reader and 32bit password encryption too. For enabling wireless communication there are installed wireless LAN and Bluetooth. The cheapest ThinkPad X300 with a DVD-RW drive, Intel Core 2 Duo SL7100 CPU with 1.2 GHz, 2 GB RAM, WLAN and Bluetooth costs € 2.566,-.
