Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G

Pros
Cons
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is a mid-range smartphone built around a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with HDR support and 120Hz refresh rate. It combines durability features like Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an IP68-class rating with a modern flat design. Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra with 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS storage, aimed at smooth everyday use and lighter gaming. Battery life is a major highlight thanks to the 6,580mAh silicon-carbon cell, complemented by 45W wired charging and reverse charging. Camera hardware is led by a 200MP main sensor with OIS, backed by an 8MP ultrawide and a 20MP selfie camera. Reviews generally rate it as a strong value option under roughly €400, though it lacks extras like a telephoto lens and wireless charging and the software experience can be inconsistent.

Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G challenges you to throw conventional ideas of a mid-range smartphone overboard. You get extremely thin display edges, a well-protected chassis, a powerful battery, and six years of OS updates. But do you really get a high-end feeling for €400? Let's find out.

It’s clear that the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G target different audiences. The entry-level model looks appealing but has basic performance, while the 5G version is more capable, versatile, and better suited for gaming. Battery life, the high-quality display, and the versatile main 200 MP camera are strengths shared by both models.

At P19,999, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G feels like a solid pick for everyday use. It feels sturdy, the battery lasts long, and the bright, spacious display makes everything from scrolling feeds to watching videos a joy. The main camera gets most shots right, and the build feels solid for the price. If you’re not obsessed with extreme performance, this phone is a dependable, no-fuss daily companion.

In general, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro 5G are good mid-range smartphones, if you don't mention the price. They have high-quality screens, long battery life, good design and body protection (especially for the older model). To this should be added good photo quality on the main camera, as well as loud stereo sound. But the price is a bit overpriced at the moment.

From our early hands-on experience, the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G feels like one of the most durable and camera-focused smartphones in the upper mid-range segment. It combines a large, high-quality 12-bit AMOLED display, a powerful 200 MP camera package, excellent durability with multiple IP ratings, and a long-life battery. We’ll be putting the cameras, battery life, and sustained performance through deeper testing in our full review, but as a first impression, the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G looks like a strong, well-rounded upgrade in Xiaomi’s Note lineup.

Overall, the RedMi Note 15 Pro 5G solidly earns its place among the top contenders in the RedMi series. It provides a well-rounded performance at a competitive price point while featuring a durable build designed for longevity. For those seeking a dependable daily smartphone, the Note 15 Pro is a well-balanced smartphone that excels in its class, without breaking the bank. However, if you have a bit more budget to spare, consider the Note 15 Pro+ for enhanced performance through its Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. While there are base models available in the series — like the Note 15 5G and Note 15 — these models compromise on performance and camera quality, falling short when compared to the Pro variants.

Redmi has expanded its Redmi Note lineup with two new smartphones: Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and Redmi Note 15 Pro. The latest handsets from the company come equipped with an interesting set of features and a premium design language. Lastly, the top-end option with 12GB + 512GB is available at Rs. 43,999. Moving on, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G price in India starts at Rs. 29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 31,999.

Time for conclusions. First, my advice is to wait for the discounts. This phone will inevitably get cheaper in a couple of months, and it will make a lot more sense then. Unlike cheaper Redmis, there are no big compromises here: the phone feels fast, you have decent video recording and a giant battery. But image quality is still not Pixel or even Galaxy level, so if you want the best camera, look at those.

So after all that, you saw what the new REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G can do – should you buy this phone? At the starting price of RM1,399, I think it’s actually a very compelling price point. The performance is in the mid-range category, and if you’re just looking to play some simpler games like COD Mobile or PUBG Mobile, then this phone is perfect for that. The screen also looks great for these games, by the way. We can game for hours non-stop thanks to the big battery capacity, and we can charge it back up quickly with the included 45W fast charger.

To conclude this review, the REDMI Note 15 Pro is one of the most interesting midrange smartphones of 2025. Multimedia experience is good thanks to its immersive display, coupled with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support. Performance is also substantially powerful with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400‑Ultra chip, while the massive 6580mAh battery and 45W fast charging keep you powered all day long. The cameras are surprisingly capable as well. The 200MP main sensor and 8MP ultrawide lens capture vibrant, detailed shots, and the selfie camera works well for social media and video calls. While it lacks a telephoto lens or wireless charging, and the software still has some quirks, these are minor trade‑offs considering what you’re getting.

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is exactly what you'd expect from a "middle-ground" Redmi Note - a sensible, polished package that does a lot of things right without trying to reinvent the wheel. There is an excellent 6.83-inch 12-bit AMOLED with Dolby Vision/HDR10+ support and proper Widevine L1, and it even gets seriously bright in our tests. The new flat design feels modern, is easy to protect with a screen protector, and the phone is sturdier than ever with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 up front and that impressive IP68/IP69K rating. Battery life is another strong point - the 6,580mAh Si/C cell delivered a very respectable ~15.5h Active Use Score, and the 45W charging is perfectly adequate.

Despite an affordable price tag, the Redmi Note 15 Pro has a lot of strings to its bow. An impressive 200Mp camera, superb battery life and a bright, vivid display are the highlights, while the performance is more than up to scratch. But it is balanced by a few notable compromises where other Chinese manufacturers perform better, with regard to design, software, and screen. Another coat of polish could see this phone step up from good to great, but right now, there is still a way to go.
