Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max and Xiaomi 18 Fold will officially launch in September, becoming the first flagship devices powered by the company's new self-developed 3nm Xring O3 chipset. Positioned as a high-end productivity tablet, the Pad 9 Pro Max is expected to feature a 13.3-inch display and support 120W fast charging.

Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max will launch in September. The device is positioned as a professional productivity tablet and will be the first tablet to feature the company's newly unveiled Xring O3 chipset.

Another device confirmed to use the new silicon is the Xiaomi 18 Fold, which will also debut in China next month. The upcoming foldable phone is expected to introduce a shorter and wider form factor.

While official images of the tablet have not yet been revealed, recent leaks offer details on the broader lineup. The Pad 9 series is expected to include three distinct models featuring 11.2-inch, 12.5-inch, and 13.3-inch displays. The premium 13.3-inch variant is expected to launch as the Pad 9 Pro Max. Additionally, reports indicate that the device will support 120W fast charging.

Performance for both devices will be handled by the custom Xring O3 chipset. Built on TSMC's 3nm process with 24 billion transistors, the deca-core processor features six ultra-large cores and four large cores capable of reaching clock speeds up to 4.35GHz. The main SoC operates as part of a tri-chip architecture, pairing with dedicated Xring O100 and Xring D100 AI coprocessors to handle demanding workloads.

Graphics performance is driven by a 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU with third-generation ray tracing support, while the memory controller adds compatibility for next-generation LPDDR6 RAM. Additionally, a completely redesigned NPU delivers 200 TOPS of tensor computing power optimized for running Xiaomi's MiMo edge AI models locally on the device.
