Xiaomi has officially announced its intention to refresh the 2K Gaming Monitor G27Qi globally with a 2026 edition. To recap, the company introduced the 2025 edition over a year ago with a 180 Hz refresh rate. Not only does the 2K Gaming Monitor G27Qi 2026 surpass its predecessor in this regard, but it also surpasses the 2025 edition in terms of peak brightness levels too.
At its core, the 2K Gaming Monitor G27Qi 2026 features a 27-inch IPS panel that resolves at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio just like its predecessor. Xiaomi has bumped the monitor's maximum refresh rate from 180 Hz to 200 Hz between generations though, and without compromising on the 2025 edition's 1 ms GtG response times. Moreover, the 2026 edition swaps AMD FreeSync for FreeSync Premium, which adds Low Framerate Compensation (LFC), a technology that AMD claims duplicates frames when FPS drop below a monitor's minimum refresh rate to minimise image tearing.
On top of that, the new monitor retains 95% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB colour space coverages, as well as a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports apiece. Unfortunately, the new monitor misses out on any USB hub to speak of. Nonetheless, Xiaomi has also increased peak brightness levels by a third to 400 nits with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.
Regional pricing and exact availability remain unconfirmed for now. However, the appearance of a listing on Xiaomi's global website tends to precede a full release by or month or so at the latest. In other words, we would expect Xiaomi to begin offering the 2K Gaming Monitor G27Qi 2026 globally as a more premium alternative to the 2K Monitor A27Qi (curr. $184.99 on Amazon) before the end of the year.
