Although the 76 Wh battery capacity is decent, but not exceptional, Acer's Nitro V 16 AI nevertheless has a long battery life. In our Wi-Fi test, which simulates browsing various websites, the 16-inch laptop reached an excellent 11 hours. By comparison, similar laptops typically manage between 4 and 6 hours.
The impressive battery life is thanks to the Nitro V 16 AI's moderate power consumption. The integrated Ryzen 5 240 and GeForce RTX 5050, thanks in part to their graphics switching capabilities, don't consume too much energy.
The Acer notebook also surpasses its competitors in other areas. Its connectivity options, including a card reader and USB 4 ports, are superior to those of the similarly priced HP Victus 15, which we also recently reviewed.
As for the other strengths and weaknesses of the Nitro V 16 AI, interested readers are advised to take a look at our detailed review.
I discovered my interest in computers in my childhood, growing up with MS-DOS and Windows 3.1 in the early 1990s. I was especially fascinated with computer games, even from an early age. From Monkey Island through Lands of Lore to Doom, I tried every game I could get my hands on. I have been working for Notebookcheck since 2009 with my focus mostly being on high-performance gaming laptops.

Growing up in regional Australia, I first became acquainted with computers in my early teens after a broken leg from a football (soccer) match temporarily condemned me to a predominately indoor lifestyle. Soon afterwards I was building my own systems. Now I live in Germany, having moved here in 2014, where I study philosophy and anthropology. I am particularly fascinated by how computer technology has fundamentally and dramatically reshaped human culture, and how it continues to do so.
