Xiaomi now has a new and particularly fast gaming monitor on offer in Europe. Not only does it have a particularly affordable price tag, it comes with a variety of features for gamers such as a fast 200Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium.
Xiaomi has just launched another gaming monitor in Europe: the Gaming Monitor G24i 2026. Priced at 120€ or £80, the G24i 2026 gaming monitor is clearly aimed at gamers with a maximum refresh rate of 200 Hz.
FreeSync Premium and fast response
The monitor has a gray-to-gray response time of just one millisecond and supports AMD FreeSync Premium, which is particularly effective at preventing tearing. The fast IPS panel is said to impress with a color deviation of less than Delta E 2, at least in its factory state, but it is not a monitor designed specifically for color-critical applications. The screen measures just under 24 inches diagonally, or 23.8 inches to be precise.
Limited resolution and features
A limitation that is not uncommon on affordable gaming monitors is that the screen resolution is usually limited to 1,920 x 1,080, which is not particularly high, and the G24i is no exception here. The same applies to the brightness of 400 cd/m² and the typical contrast ratio of 1,000:1. One HDMI, one DisplayPort connection, and an audio port are on board, but there are no additional connections such as a USB hub. Lastly, the monitor can be mounted on a VESA bracket.
Customers will have to do without extensive features. (Image source: Xiaomi)

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

Growing up in regional Australia, I first became acquainted with computers in my early teens after a broken leg from a football (soccer) match temporarily condemned me to a predominately indoor lifestyle. Soon afterwards I was building my own systems. Now I live in Germany, having moved here in 2014, where I study philosophy and anthropology. I am particularly fascinated by how computer technology has fundamentally and dramatically reshaped human culture, and how it continues to do so.
