Xiaomi 18 Pro: Big upgrade for unique feature of the Leica camera flagship phone rumored

Neither the Xiaomi 17 Pro nor the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max made it to Europe, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has to give up the practical second display on the back in favor of a better camera. In the fall, with September already effectively confirmed, their successors are set to arrive, and they could target customers worldwide and sport significant upgrades.
So far, the focus has primarily been on the two 200MP cameras, but Xiaomi is apparently also working on further upgrades related to the distinctive second display on the back. At least that is what a leaker on Weibo claims, who does not have the same excellent track record as Digital Chat Station but has also been right quite often in the past.
According to Smart Pikachu, the AMOLED panels on the back of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will not only be significantly brighter and higher-resolution but also larger. Specifically, 4-inch displays are mentioned. That would be considerably larger than the 2.7-inch panel on the Xiaomi 17 Pro or the 2.9-inch display on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. This could potentially be made possible by reducing the bezels, which were comparatively thick on the Xiaomi 17 Pro generation.
It is not yet clear what is meant by "Privacy Protection". It could possibly refer to technology similar to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, though that would make more sense on the front. These details should still be treated with caution, especially since they have not yet been corroborated by other leakers.
