The Huawei Watch GT 2 will see an Indian launch in December 2019
Huawei India has announced that the Watch GT 2 is coming to the region on December 5, 2019. This new smartwatch originally launched alongside the Mate 30 series. According to recent reports, it has proven quite popular, having sold approximately 1 million units in its first 45 days on sale in China and Europe.
Despite this apparent success, it has exhibited some software glitches in our testing; hopefully, these will be ironed out over time. The Watch GT 2 comes in 46- and 42-millimeter sizes, and in 3 styles: Sport Edition, Classic Edition and Elite Edition, which have silicon, leather and metal bands respectively. Indian customers will have a choice of the first Edition in 42mm form, whereas the other 2 will have 46mm variants only. Then again, this wearable does have interchangeable straps.
The Watch GT 2 also has Huawei's latest in-house HiSilicon Kirin A1 SoC. To date, this chipset is only found in this wearable, the FreeBuds 3 and the Honor MagicWatch 2. India's first taste of its capabilities will become available on Flipkart and Amazon.in on its launch.
