Fans have been eagerly awaiting a remake of Bloodborne for several years, despite the lack of information available about it. And they shouldn't get their hopes up too high, because according to the latest rumors, the project seems to be at a complete standstill.
Thus, while many players still have high hopes, Jeff Grubb recently spoke about it in episode 415 of his podcast Game Mess Decide. And even though he would have liked to meet the expectations of Bloodborne fans, he stated that according to his sources, nothing is currently happening with the license.
In other words, there will be no PC or PS5 port in development, which may disappoint many people. Not to mention that the possibility of seeing a sequel released in the coming months has also been dashed.
However, the community surrounding this game is still very active, and FromSoftware seems to be aware that they want new projects based on this game, and it's possible that this persistence will finally pay off one day. For its part, the studio seems to have new ideas in mind, such as the sequel to Elden Ring Nightrein, The Duskbloods, which will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, and an anime directly inspired by Sekiro.
Nevertheless, we must not lose hope, as Bloodborne could make a comeback one of these days. And when that happens, FromSoftware will announce it, delighting thousands of fans around the world.
