Fans of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be delighted to learn that the title's anime adaptation is now official. A domain name has been created for the project, and new information may soon be available.

It's already been six years since the excellent Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was released on various consoles. And for the past two years, there have been rumors of an anime adaptation. But while it has remained a mystery, even though we know it will be directed by Ken'ichi Kutsuna, some news has recently been revealed, sending fans into a tizzy.

If you've never played it, you should know that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an excellent game developed by FromSoftware and released in 2019 that plunges you into feudal Japan. Of course, if this studio is mentioned, you can expect brutal and, above all, very difficult gameplay, which is actually the case in this game where the enemies leave you no chance.

What's more, when it was released, it was a huge success. Indeed, it is extremely well appreciated by gamers worldwide, as can be seen on Metacritic, and even won the title of game of the year in 2019.

So, with such a warm reception, an animated adaptation is hardly surprising. Especially when you consider that the world of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is vast and full of mysteries. And yesterday, a user named Vestan revealed some important information about this on ResetEra.

Indeed, he announced that Kadokawa Corporation, which owns FromSoftware, has registered a domain name for the animated adaptation of the game called sekiro-anime.jp. However, while this news is exciting for fans of the franchise, there is no further information on this subject.

It has to be said that the link refers to a page with little information written in Japanese. But some rumors are emerging about the making of this anime. Indeed, the Qzil.la studio could be in charge of its production, although Ken'ichi Kutsuna still seems to be in the running to create it. But if we combine this information, a collaboration could be envisaged. However, we'll have to wait for further official information before drawing any conclusions. But there's no doubt that this anime will be released, whether in the near or distant future.
