While the Nintendo Switch 2 didn't get much in the way of first-party exclusives, it had a surprise that baffled even hardcore fans. Out of nowhere, FromSoftware announced it had something lined up for Switch 2 owners in 2026. The game is called The Duskbloods and its three-minute trailer raises a few questions.
The introduction subtly hints at a Bloodborne-like vibe, which is further exacerbated by a 19th-century Gothic setting that feels very reminiscent of Yharnam. The Duskbloods has Lovecraftian eldritch horrors, too, but that's where the similarities with Bloodborne end. FromSoftware has incorporated some futuristic elements into The Duskbloods, such as jetpacks and machine guns.
For now, there's no word if The Duskbloods will launch on other platforms. There's a good chance it will be a timed exclusive because it has been ten years since FromSoftware locked a game to a specific platform, which, ironically, happens to be Bloodborne. More information about The Duskbloods will be revealed on April 4 via a dedicated event.
