Neither Sekiro Shadows Die Twice nor Bloodborne will get a sequel anytime soon, or ever. If you want the best of both the games squished together in one neat package, Lies of P just might be the game for you. And it has just been discounted by 40% on Steam. It has over 45,000 positive reviews on Steam and has been reviewed positively by critics.
Lies of P has Bloodborne's mechanic that lets you regain health after blocking an attack. But it can only be done during a brief window, effectively disincentivizing turtling up. While this is a viable play style, it falls off after one point in the story. At some time, you have to learn how to perfectly deflect adversaries' attacks, like you do in Sekiro.
Do it enough times, and you can break enemies' weapons, greatly reducing the damage they output. Lies of P has a straightforward linear map with the ability to revisit previously explored areas to clean up any quests you may have missed. Strictly speaking, Lies of P doesn't have 'classes', instead letting you choose between three types of weapons.
Depending on your choices throughout the game, Lies of P lets you pick between multiple endings. A single play through with all side content should take you about 30 hours. Then there's a New Game Plus mode that lets you carry forward your progress and unlock new content/dialogue/interactions.
Plus, Lies of P will get a story-based DLC expansion later this year. Called Overture, it was announced last month, and it will tell us everything that led to the events of the base game. The above promotion is valid until March 11, so you have some time to peruse through a few reviews before committing to a purchase.
