Release date and pricing for new Anbernic gaming handheld now known
Anbernic's latest gaming handheld release is almost upon us. As usual, the company is not waiting around, having only officially presented the device late last week. On top of that, the RG406V (curr. $226.99 on Amazon) is still less than a month old.
Nonetheless, the RG CubeXX will be with us before the month is out. With that being said, it remains to be seen whether Anbernic is lining up an October release for the recently announced RG P01 controller too. While launch details for the RG P01 remain unknown at the time of publication, RetroHandhelds has now revealed that the RG CubeXX will be available from 10:00 UTC on October 22.
Reportedly, Anbernic intends to charge a minimum of $60 for the RG CubeXX, before including shipping. However, this price is only set to be active until October 25 before Anbernic raises it to $67. In summary, the RG CubeXX contains the following hardware:
- Allwinner H700 chipset
- 1 GB LPDDR4 RAM
- 3,800 mAh battery
- 3.95-inch IPS display, 720 x 720 pixels
- Bluetooth 4.2/5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity
- RGB backlit joysticks
