Realme GT7 Pro touted to launch as most powerful next-gen flagship Android smartphone of next few weeks
Realme's GT6 forces its buyers to make a choice between top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 power and the in-demand feature of a periscope telephoto lens for its rear panel: it only has the former for a very compelling starting price - one now slated to drop to just 2,499 yuan (~$350) for the upcoming 11.11 festival in China.
Its successor is slated to be a very different matter - by Realme rather than via leaks for the first time, moreover. The brand has just announced that it does indeed have a potentially higher-end Android smartphone in the wings: one that can combine the perk of advanced zoom with the class-leading performance of next-gen Snapdragon 8-series silicon.
Accordingly, the 7 Pro is now touted to land as the most GT of all GT smartphones to date. However, the brand is keeping its exact launch date in reserve, presumably until Qualcomm makes its chipset official on October 21, 2024.
It should be noted that its specs (both rumored and confirmed) make for the potential of much more sticker-shock in comparison to the GT6. Then again, the GT7 Pro is said to go global whereas its predecessor did not (and seemingly never will now).
