In addition to the shortened battery life, the bug that seems to be affecting various handsets on iOS 14.2 also leads to longer charge times than usual. According to some users, their handsets (older ones in most cases, but also iPhone 12 models) lose over 50 percent in under 30 minutes. The 2018 iPad Pro also seems to be affected.

They also come with support for 5G via the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem. The new HP ZBook Firefly notebooks will be available later this month.

It is quite ironic how AMD's Smart Access Memory (aka Resizable BAR) could help Intel and Nvidia regain some lost market shares. AMD offered to help its competitors with the Resizable BAR feature, yet Team Red may have hit a stone wall with the SAM support for Ryzen 3000 and older Zen-based CPUs. On the other hand, Intel-based motherboards supporting 6-year-old CPUs from the Haswell era have no problem benefiting from the Resizable BAR feature, and Nvidia is soon adding support for it, as well.

The image confirms that the Rocket Lake-S series will support the AVX512F and SHA instruction sets, while 8-core parts will be capable of reaching 5.0 GHz with a 125 W rated TDP. CES 2021: registrations for this all-digital tech expo are now open

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has announced that the upcoming 100% virtual version of its flagship conference is now taking registrations. They include a special reduced price from now until January 4, 2021. The actual digital show itself starts on the 11th of that month.

GoPro gets to 40 million cameras sold in 2020

GoPro has posted "record-breaking" sales on its website due to its Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2020 event. The OEM also now increased the number of its subscribers to over 670,000, compared to about 500,000 at last count. The latest holiday period has also helped the company to an important milestone.

Good news, Malaysian fans of the latest OnePlus special-edition flagship phone: it's coming to your market! Then again, there are just 10 of them, and they are only found in blind boxes to be sold via Lazada. This promotional event will take place on December 12, 2020.
