The Lenovo Yoga 7 line is back with 2023 (or "14.5-inch, 8") Pro iterations that choose to take the Slim moniker for granted with a maximum height of 15.6mm - allowing for an up-to-73Whr battery this time.
The new variants can pack a Ryzen 7 7840HS (in the 7) or a Core i7-13700H (7i) processor to drive a 400-nit, 16:10 PureSight Pro LCD IPS display with a 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, LPDDR5X RAM, an up-to-1TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD and an RTX 4050 card into the top-end SKUs of their new design.
Then again, Lenovo has also provided the option of falling back onto 2K/90Hz/350-nit displays and RTX 3050 graphics in the the new Yoga Pro 7/7i. Nevertheless, 100% sRGB coverage, Dolby Vision support, TÜV Low Blue Light/Eyesafe certifications and anti-glare options are included across all display configurations.
These new AMD- and Intel-based variants also boast an "improved Yoga keyboard" with a 1.5mm key-depth, as well as an IR/ToF-enabled webcam with a 4-mic "Voice ID" noise-isolating system and a privacy shutter. The customer also has the option of Lenovo's on-trend Storm Gray or Tidal Teal colorways with either the Windows 11-powered Pro 7 or 7i.
All in all, both new potential graphic design or collaboration machines are nearly identical regardless of CPU source, with the exception of the new Unison software solution that might boost iPhone- or Android smartphone pairing - and 1 type-C port with Thunderbolt 4 rather than USB4 - in the 7i. Nevertheless, the new Yoga Pro 7 has been unveiled with the same starting price and availability info: €999 (~US$1,082) from May 2023.
