CES 2023 | Lenovo Smart Paper: Global version of YOGA Paper showcased running Android 11 with 10.3-inch E-Ink display
Lenovo has showcased the Smart Paper, the global alternative to the YOGA Paper that debuted last month in China. As such, the Smart Paper has a 10.3-inch E-Ink display, along with a low-powered SoC and support for a stylus. According to the company, the display outputs at 1,872 x 1,404 pixels to provide a 227 PPI and offers 24 brightness levels with 24 adjustable temperature tones. Additionally, the display supports EMR pen technology and 4,096 pressure levels with tilt detection.
Moreover, the Smart Paper runs Android AOSP 11 with a Rockchip RK3566 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a 3,550 mAH battery under the hood. Supposedly, the small battery should last 7,000 pages of reading or 170 pages of note-taking on a single charge, which is much better than the also new Tab Extreme. The Smart Paper comes with Bluetooth 5.2 BLE support too, as well as 802.11 ac WiFi and twin microphones.
At launch, the Smart Paper will be available with a Smart Paper Pen and a Smart Paper Folio case, pictured below. Although both will add to the tablet's carry weight, the Smart Paper only weighs 408 g on its own and measures 195 x 226 x 5.5 mm. The Lenovo Smart Paper will be available later this month in the Eurozone for €479. Unfortunately, Lenovo has not confirmed pricing details for either of the device's accessories yet.
