Lenovo has launched a barrage of thin-and-light laptops alongside its numerous Legion-branded models. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i and Yoga Slim 7i Carbon are portable laptops for on-the-go professionals. Both laptops, for the most part, have a similar spec sheet, but there are a few key differences here and there. One can purchase the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon at EUR 1,299 in March 2023.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i has a 14-inch screen configurable in a wide range of resolutions/refresh rates and panel choices. One can pick between a 2.8K (2,880 x 1,880) IPS panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 400 nits peak brightness and 100% sRGB spectrum coverage. A 2.2K (2,240 x 1,400), 300 nits 60 Hz variant also exists. Those looking for an OLED screen get an FHD+ (1,920 x 1,200) panel with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and 400 nits peak brightness. An FHD IR-enabled webcam with a privacy shutter sits on top of the screen.
Lenovo has fitted the Yoga Slim 6i with 28 Watt Intel Raptor Lake P processors, namely the Core i7-1360p and Core i5-1340p. Last-gen Alder Lake variants (Core i7-1260p and Core i5-1240p) are also available. Memory and storage max out at 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Depending on the model one gets a 65 Wh or 60 Wh battery on their Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, one USB Type-A port and one HDMI port.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon
Moving on, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon boasts slightly better specs, but a slightly smaller 13.3-inch 2.5K (2,560 x 1,600) screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and 400 nits peak brightness with optional touchscreen functionality. Its smaller profile comes at the cost of battery capacity and the laptop has to make do with a 50 Wh cell. That shouldn't be much of a problem, given it runs Intel's power-efficient Core i7-1360p or Core i5-1340p processor.
Other Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon features a 720p IR webcam with a privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. There isn't much in the way of I/I with the laptop featuring just one Thunderbolt 4.0 and one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port.
