Buyers are unlikely to see as many enticing RTX 5080 OLED gaming laptop deals. Fortunately, the 16-inch Legion Pro 7i with a potent Core Ultra 9 275X processor is at one of its lowest prices yet. Although not the most mobile Lenovo laptop, it produces stellar gaming and productivity benchmarks.

The Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 is a gaming laptop that’s equally suited for productivity challenges. An Intel Core Ultra 9 275X CPU takes a toll on its battery life, but boasts stellar multi-core performance. The highlight of the Lenovo laptop is a brilliant 16-inch WQXGA OLED screen, which the Nvidia RTX 5080 GPU maximizes.

Other key specs include 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. With code LEGIONPOWER26 at checkout, the final total is $1932 at the Lenovo store, a discount of over $1780.

The Core Ultra 9 275HX vs Ryzen 9 9955HX debate

Particularly with rising component costs, similar deals on Arrow Lake HX and Blackwell GPU configs have become rare. More recently, Lenovo introduced the Legion Pro 7 with a Ryzen 9 9955HX processor. While the AMD chip has some slight advantages with gaming, its Intel rival remains a strong all-around contender.

Notebookcheck’s review of the Legion Pro 7i revealed an extremely high PCMark 10 score. The Lenovo laptop managed to top 16-inch rivals like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16. In real-world scenarios, the notebook excels at even the most strenuous editing and office tasks.

The model currently on sale is designed for high performance, but over shorter bursts. Like its Gen 9 predecessor, the high-end CPU and GPU will diminish battery capacity. Also limiting its portability is a 400-watt power brick and a somewhat chunky build.

An OLED laptop display with few rivals

While not the most efficient notebook, the OLED gaming laptop may convince skeptics with an outstanding 2560 x 1600 display. DisplayHDR True Black 1000 creates a greater contrast between dark scenes and bright objects.

The RTX 5080 also complements its high refresh rate capabilities. Nvidia’s mobile RTX 5090 doesn’t offer a huge boost in frame rates, making the lower-end Blackwell card a superior value. With the help of DLSS 4.5, it can deliver 240Hz visuals at high detail settings.

Other annoyances that may steer buyers away from this OLED gaming laptop deal include the lack of rear ports. Testers also find its trackpad on the small side and lacking distinct feedback. Regardless, for $1932 at Lenovo, the Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 is more powerful than most alternatives in this price range.
