Asus has released a new 16-inch OLED laptop with a 1,000-nit display backed by an 83 Wh battery. Also equipped with AMD Gorgon Point processors, the new laptop surpasses older models with more RAM, too. The Zenbook S16 directly replaces earlier models with an updated design too.

Last week, Asus released the Zenbook 16 Air in China. Equipped with AMD Gorgon Point processors and an 83 Wh battery, the Zenbook 16 Air serves as the China-only version of the Zenbook S16 that debuted earlier this month globally during CES 2026.

Now, the company has quietly opened pre-orders for the Zenbook S16 across Europe. For the time being, Asus is offering the Zenbook S16 in Poland and the UK. However, it seems that Germany will be receiving the same laptop soon too. Meanwhile, Asus' US store only shows older Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Ryzen AI 9 365 models (curr. $1,283 on Amazon) that come with 32 GB of RAM and 24 GB of RAM, respectively.

Currently, the Zenbook S16 is available with the Ryzen AI 9 465 and 32 GB RAM for £1,699.99 (~$2,345) in the UK and PLN 7,499 (~$2,218) in Poland. While both prices include VAT, the UK has received a 2 TB SSD SKU, with Asus Poland opting for a 1 TB alternative instead. New Zenbook S16 pre-orders should start shipping in early February.

Additionally, Asus UK has revealed that a cheaper Ryzen AI 7 445, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD variant will retail for £1,499.99. This variant is not available to pre-order yet, though. Please see our Zenbook S16 launch article for more details.
