The Alienware 16 Area-51 has been officially unveiled at CES 2026, and it's one of the performance-focused laptops that Dell has introduced at the event. This new gaming laptop can be equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processor.
Dell notes that users will have the option to pair the CPU with up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6,400 MT/s. As for the storage, there are three M.2 slots that can hold up to 12 TB of PCIe storage, with each slot capable of holding up to a 4 TB SSD (Kingston NV3 curr. $476 on Amazon).
In terms of the GPU, the Alienware 16 Area-51 can be equipped with up to the Nvidia RTX 5090, and Dell is offering the option to choose the RTX 5080 or 5070 Ti if preferred. The company highlights that the advanced cooling setup ensures higher wattage ceilings while keeping the temps low.
On the front, the laptop sports a 16-inch OLED display with a 240 Hz refresh rate, 620 nits peak HDR brightness, and 120% DCI-P3 color coverage. Port-wise, the gaming laptop comes with the following:

Other highlights of the Alienware Area-51 gaming laptop include a 96 Wh battery, up to a Cherry MX low-profile mechanical keyboard, and a sleek design. Dell says that it will be available in Q1 2026, but didn't disclose the pricing details of the system yet.
