Honor silently debuts new budget smartphone with slim design and OLED display

Honor has quietly added a new member to its existing Play 11-series lineup. The Honor 11 Play Pro is the company’s new affordable 5G smartphone, joining the Honor Play 11 Plus, which debuted in May 2026 in China. The smartphone comes with a slim 7.34 mm (0.28-inch) body. Interestingly, Honor has managed to squeeze in a large 7,000 mAh battery into the smartphone’s slim body. Plus, it supports 45 W wired charging (Anker 45 W USB-C charger curr. at $25.99 on Amazon). Honor claims the battery of the device is designed to retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,000 charging cycles.
At 185 grams (0.40 lbs), the handset has the same weight as the Play 11 Plus. Specs-wise, there aren’t major differences between both devices. The Pro model retains pretty much the same specs as the Plus model, from processor and battery to design and camera. However, the only difference is the Pro model comes with a flat OLED panel, while the Plus is listed with an AMOLED display.
Speaking more precisely, it sports a 6.6-inch 1.5K OLED flat display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. Under the hood, the handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6500 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage with no room for storage expansion. On the software front, it boots Android 16-based MagicOS 10 out of the box. However, Honor has not provided any information regarding its software update policy.
What we know is that the smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP primary camera and an unknown sensor. There’s an 8 MP snapper at the front for selfies and video chats. Moreover, you get the same unibody metal frame, IP66 water and dust resistance, and SGS five-star drop resistance certification as the Play 11 Plus.
Available in sunrise gold, midnight black, and moon silver, the Honor Play 11 Pro is now available for reservation in China for CNY 2,099 ($310) for the single 8 GB + 256 GB variant.
