HP launches ProBook 430 G6, 440 G6, and 450 G6 with Whiskey Lake-U options
Whereas the HP EliteBook family caters to high-end Enterprise and business users, the HP ProBook family caters to business users on tighter budgets. The 13.3-inch ProBook 430, 14-inch ProBook 440, and 15.6-inch ProBook 450 have now all been updated with brand new processors and a refreshed look.
The new ProBook design has clear inspirations from the high-end EliteBook families. The silver color scheme and narrow side bezels are reminiscent to the EliteBook x360 1030 while the webcam is still along the top edge of the display as a small jab to the Dell XPS series. Overall footprint and thickness are smaller than the last generation ProBook.
Internally, the new systems share the exact same Whiskey Lake-U CPU options ranging from the Core i3-8145U up to the Core i7-8565U. Even port selection is almost the same across the entire lineup (the smaller 430 G6 has fewer USB Type-A ports). One notable difference is that the larger ProBook 440 G6 and 450 G6 have optional GeForce MX130 graphics for faster GPU performance while the smaller 430 G6 is limited to the integrated UHD Graphics 620.
The ProBook 430 G6, 440 G6, and 450 G6 series is now shipping for a starting price of $589 USD. See our reviews on the last generation ProBook 430 G5, 440 G5, and 450 G5 for more detailed information on the ProBook family.
