Coming off the heels of the new 2019 Pavilion x360 series are the refreshed 14-inch ProBook 445R and 15.6-inch ProBook 455R series. These models are updates of the original ProBook 445 and ProBook 455, respectively, with new AMD Zen+ Ryzen 3 3200U and Ryzen 5 3500U processors. The AMD APUs are expected to be about 10 percent faster than the existing Zen Ryzen 3 2200U and Ryzen 5 2500U to better compete against Intel's Whiskey lake-U series.
Other than the CPU change, the MIL-STD 810G chassis and ports will remain identical to the original ProBook 445 and 455. Both systems will carry the typical HP suite of security features including IR webcam, Sure Click, fingerprint sensor, and BIOSphere Gen4. We recommend checking out the official specification sheets below for a detailed rundown on their specifications.
Expect both the ProBook 445R and 455R to launch this June. HP has yet to reveal any starting prices, but they will almost surely be more affordable than the Intel-based ProBook 440 and ProBook 450.
