Elegoo has launched its first app today (June 27, 2025), rated to help turn a user's smartphone into a remote control for the brand's 3D printers.
The software, known as Matrix, is touted to confer "precision" control over a print's layer settings, exposure times and other settings. It can also directly control a printer with start and stop buttons, and can even raise or lower a bed if applicable.
The app can also monitor a print's progress in real time, and help the user check that it is not getting too hot or going too slow.
It can also act as a window into the printer, presuming that it has the internal cameras required. The Matrix app also supports detailed print logs and data over time for potentially improved troubleshooting and smoother prints in the future.
Elegoo's Matrix app is available for iOS or Android, and is currently compatible with the Saturn 4 Ultra's 16K variant (currently $519.99 with Amazon Prime) thus far.
That eligibility is projected to extend to the Mars 5 Ultra and Saturn 4 Ultra 12K in the third quarter of 2025, and will work with the Jupiter 2 on its upcoming launch.
