EcoFlow has expanded its River series portfolio by launching two new portable power stations: the River 3 Plus and the River 3 Plus Wireless. First, let’s talk about the River 3 Plus portable power station. The device sports a 286 Wh LiFePO4 battery that supports X-stream fast charging technology. According to the brand, this technology charges the power station from 0 to 100% in just 1 hour. The LiFePo4 (LFP) battery is rated for 3000+ cycles and can last more than 10 years even with daily use.
The EcoFlow River 3 Plus delivers a maximum output of 600 W, which can safely surge up to 1200 W. According to the company, this makes it suitable for 90% of household appliances, from refrigerators, small kettles, car vacuums, and laptops to smartphones, drones, coffee makers, PCs, and car fridges. As far as charging is concerned, EcoFlow offers three ways to charge the power station: via AC adapter, from a car outlet, or using solar panels.
The portable power station sports a decent array of outlets, including three AC output ports (600 W) with a certified UPS switchover time of under 10 ms, two USB-A ports, a single USB-C (100 W), and one car charging outlet. Furthermore, the River 3 Plus is also scalable with up to a capacity of 858 Wh thanks to the battery expansion system. Dimensionally, it measures 9.2 x 9.1 x 5.8 inches (234 x 232 x 146 mm) and weighs just 10.4 lbs (4.7 kg).
Moreover, EcoFlow also offers a dedicated companion app for the River 3 Plus to further tweak the power station’s settings and monitor overall performance. Additionally, it also has a small built-in LED screen that shows information such as battery percentage and output power.
Alongside the River 3 Plus, EcoFlow has also introduced the River 3 Plus Wireless model, which boasts all River 3 Plus’s features and also offers wireless charging via an integrated 5,000 mAh power bank.
The EcoFlow River 3 Plus is already on sale in the UK via Amazon and EcoFlow’s official website, starting at £279. The additional batteries EB300 (286 Wh) and EB600 (572 Wh) will set you back £239 and £329, respectively. Speaking about wireless model availability, the River 3 Plus wireless will be available in May 2025.
