Two Desiknio X20 series e-bikes are headed to the US thanks to a partnership with Stromer. The North American launch of the X20 Pinion commuter and X20 Gravel e-bikes was first mentioned earlier this year at the Eurobike event.
The X20 Pinion electric bicycle has a 250W Mahle hub motor with 55Nm torque and a top assistance speed of 20 mph (~32 kph). A 236Wh battery allows you to ride with assistance for up to 62 miles (~100 km), with an optional range extender doubling this capacity. The nine-speed bike has a Gates Carbon Drive CDX and Pinion C1.9XR transmission, with app-based controls. The one-size model has a 6061 aluminum frame and weighs 30.1 lb (14 kg)
The X20 Gravel has the same 250W motor and 236Wh power pack. The Pinion groupset is replaced with the Shimano GRX 600, with an optional upgrade to the Campagnolo EKAR 13S. Other features include Campagnolo EKAR brakes, Pirelli Black 45 tires, and a Ritchey Ergo Comp drop handlebar. This model has a carbon monocoque frame and weighs 26.5 lb (~12 kg).
According to a press release, the Desiknio X20 Pinion commuter and X20 Gravel e-bikes have a suggested retail price of US$5,995. The Gravel X20 with a Shimano GRX 600 groupset is already on sale, though at the higher price of US$7,470. The Gravel X20 with Campagnolo EKAR groupset and the X20 Pinion will launch later this year or early in 2024.
