E-MTB R.X1000 and e-crossover R.C1000 from Rotwild come with innovative motor-gearbox unit and huge battery
A few weeks ago, Rotwild teased its two new R.X1000 and R.C1000 e-bikes. Now, they have officially been unveiled as two exciting and powerful electric long-range bikes for rough terrain. They have a lot in common, but are also different in certain respects.
The new Rotwild R.X100 is a classic all-mountain bike. "We envision riders experiencing off-road adventures with the R.X1000. The terrain should not be the limiting factor," said Rotwild CEO Peter Schlitt about the new e-MTB with its 150 mm suspension travel.
The Rotwild R.C1000, on the other hand, is a sporty crossover e-biked designed for both everyday commuting and off-road riding. "The R.C1000 is one of our everyday heroes: for the way to work or for a weekend trip with the family. With mudguards, a luggage rack and an integrated lighting system, it is extremely practical. But it’s also a powerful piece of sports equipment when you take it out on the trail," said Schlitt.
Both e-bikes are equipped with a new motor gearbox unit (MGU) from Pinion, which combines the motor and gearbox in one unit. The motor supports up to 85 Nm and has a peak output of 600 W. The gearbox provides 12 gears and electronic shifting, which shifts seamlessly without interrupting the power flow. The drive is paired with a 960 Wh battery in the down tube, which should ensure a long range.
The new Rotwild R.X1000 is available in two versions, Pro and Ultra, and cost EUR 9999 (~USD 10,900) and EUR 11,999 (~USD 13,100), respectively. The Rotwild R.C1000 is only available in the Tour version in black for EUR 9999 (~USD 10,900). Both model series are available in four sizes: S, M, L and XL.
