MagyarNew striking Decathlon Rockrider E-EXPL 700 hardtail e-bike version launches
Decathlon has launched a new version of its Rockrider E-EXPL 700 e-bike in various European countries like the UK, the Netherlands and France. The new hardtail model has an eye-catching iridescent purple frame, while the original version, released earlier this year, has a bottle green frame.
Another difference between the newer and older versions of the E-EXPL 700 e-bikes is the drive train. The latest model uses Shimano parts, with a Deore 5130 rear-derailleur, a Deore LG 11-43 cassette and an LG500 chain, while the original has a Microshift Advent X drive train. Otherwise, the variants appear to be identical. The 10-speed e-bike has a 70Nm Brose Drive T mid-mounted motor, providing a maximum of 320% assistance with a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) and a torque sensor for smoother pedalling. A 630Wh battery lets you ride for up to 100 km (~62 miles), and the bicycle is compatible with a 360 Wh range extender, allowing the engine to assist you for an extra 44 km (~27 miles).
The Ergo 900 TFT color display on the handlebars shows information like your speed and remaining battery, and can be used to switch between assistance modes. Other features include an X-Fusion RC32 29-inch fork with 130mm travel, Tektro M530 hydraulic disc brakes and a Decathlon long-distance 60° saddle. The model has a 6061 aluminum frame available in four sizes from S to XL, with the M version weighing 22 kg (~49 lbs). You can now buy the Decathlon Rockrider E-EXPL 700 e-bike for €2,509.99 in the Netherlands, €2,499.99 in countries like France, Spain and Italy, £2,499.99 in the UK and 30,999 kr in Sweden.
