Decathlon announces new Rockrider E-EXPL 700 and 700S eMTB pricing
Decathlon has announced the launch date and pricing for its E-EXPL 700 and E-EXPL 700S eMTBs in Germany. The 2023 models were revealed in October, alongside the E-EXPL 520 and E-EXPL 520S electric bicycles. The E-EXPL 700 and 700S have a Brose Drive T 70 Nm motor, assisting you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph), and a 630 Wh battery pack. Both e-bikes feature 180mm Tektro M530 hydraulic disc brakes and 29-in wheels.
There are several differences between the two models. For example, the 700 has a ten-speed Microshift Advent gear shift, while the 700S has a ten-speed Shimano Deore rear derailleur. The 700 has an X-Fusion RC32 Boost suspension fork with 130mm travel, while the 700S has a full suspension system of a RockShox 35 Silver R suspension fork with 140mm travel and a Deluxe Select Coil damper.
The Decathlon Rockrider 700 and 700S electric mountain bikes in the large size weigh 24.5 kg (~54.0 lbs) and 26.7 kg (~58.9 lbs), respectively. The models will be available in four sizes, from small to extra large. The 700 will launch in Germany at the end of May for €2,499 (~US$2,719). Meanwhile, the 700S will arrive this June for €3,499 (~US$3,807). It is unclear when these e-bikes will launch in other countries and at what price.
