Ponomarets has opened a pre-order for its first e-bike, the Series 1. The premium electric bicycle has a carbon fiber frame that is ultra-light, weighing 11.3 kg (~24.9 lbs). The Series 1 has a 250W Mahle motor for a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) and up to 100 km (~62 miles) range.

The Ponomarets Series 1 e-bike is now available to pre-order in the EU. The German manufacturer has designed an ultra-light model, drawing inspiration from aviation and supercars; the bike weighs just 11.3 kg (~24.9 lbs), the same weight as the Cannondale SuperSix EVO Neo 1 road e-bike.

The premium Series 1 electric bicycle can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) using a Mahle X35+ rear hub motor with up to 40 Nm torque. A 250 Wh Panasonic battery, stored in the down tube, allows you to travel with assistance for up to 100 km (~62 miles) on a single charge. The e-bike has a GRX Shimano RX810 11-speed rear derailleur, proprietary carbon fiber forks and Magura MT4 FM brakes. You can adjust the assistance via a Mahle iWOC One control button and view information about your journey in the Mahle SmartBike app.

The bike’s carbon fiber frame was designed with VoyagerCo, optimizing comfort while maintaining a luxurious finish. You can now pre-order the Ponomarets Series 1 e-bike for €9,799 (~US$10,600), with EU shipping scheduled for June. A Founders Edition with a platinum grey frame including your name, with only 100 units available, will retail for €10,799 (~US$11,688). It is unclear whether or when the brand plans to launch its electric bicycle in other markets.
