Decathlon Riverside 520 E new all terrain e-bike arrives
The Decathlon Riverside 520 E all-terrain bike has arrived in Europe. The e-bike has a 250W motor, assisting you at speeds of up to 25 kph (~16 mph) and a providing maximum of 42 Nm torque. You can choose from three assistance levels or a walk mode, selecting the power on the built-in LCD. The bicycle has an integrated torque sensor for natural feeling assistance and an eight-speed cassette.
A 500Wh lithium-ion battery allows you to travel up to 100 km (~62 miles) on a single charge; the power pack weighs 3.15 kg (~6.94 lbs) and has a two-year warranty. The Riverside 520 E has a SUNTOUR NEX SF19 suspension fork with lockout spring and 63 mm travel. Other features include hydraulic disc brakes, all-terrain tires and 20 lux LED headlight and rear light. A built-in backlit display on one handlebar can show information such as your speed, distance travelled and remaining range. Plus, you can charge your phone via an integrated USB port.
The 520 E bike is available in charcoal gray in sizes S-XL. The electric bicycle has a 6061 aluminum frame, with the medium-sized bike weighing 22.1 kg (~48.7 lbs). You can now buy the Decathlon Riverside 520 E electric all-terrain bike in European countries, including France and Germany, for €1,399. It is unclear whether or when the eMTB could launch in other markets like the UK and the US.
