Nireeka Mega e-bike with 1500W Bafang motor now crowdfunding

An Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign has been launched for the Nireeka Mega e-mountain bike. The bicycle has a top speed of 38 mph (~61 kph) thanks to a 1500 W Bafang motor and up to 52 miles (~84 km) of range. Other features include a full suspension system, fat tires and smart taillights.

The Nireeka Mega electric mountain bike is now crowdfunding on Indiegogo. The model is a full-suspension fat-tire e-bike with a 1500W mid-drive Bafang motor assisting you at speeds up to 38 mph (~61 kph) and delivering up to 200 Nm torque. The Mega 750 has a 480 Wh removable power pack, while the Mega 1500 has an 840 Wh Samsung battery which provides up to 52 miles (~84 km) of assistance range, 

The Mega has an air suspension fork and X-Fusion O2 Pro R Air Shock rear suspension, each with 140 mm travel. The full suspension system and fat 26 x 4-in Maxxis tires help to provide a comfortable ride. The standard LCD allows you to control the lights and adjust your assistance level, while the TFT display upgrade, costing US$99, brings a USB charging port, journey information and remaining battery level. Other features include optional Blubrake ABS brakes and an integrated smart taillight to signal braking.

The e-bike has a carbon fiber frame, with the heavier model weighing 70 lbs (~31 kg). The frame is available in 18-in- and 20-in sizes, making it suitable for riders between 5 ft 1-in and 6 ft 8-in (~155 and 210 cm) tall. You can now buy the Nireeka Mega 750 and 1500 models via Indiegogo for CA$4,085 (~US$3,009) and CA$4,425 (~US$3,260), respectively. The company is shipping worldwide this August.
