The 2023 Decathlon Rockrider E-EXPL 500 S and 520 S electric mountain bikes have arrived in Europe. The 500 S has a mid-mounted BROSE DRIVE C engine with 50 Nm torque, while the more powerful 520 S model has a BROSE DRIVE T motor with a maximum torque of 70 Nm. Other differences are found in the suspension systems, with a SUNTOUR XCM fork and an X-FUSION O2 PRO damper, each with 130 mm travel, on the 500 S. Meanwhile, the 520 S has an X-FUSION MCQUEEN R fork and X-FUSION O2 PRO R damper with 140 mm travel. Both models have hydraulic brakes and an ERGO 900 TFT color display, allowing you to select from five assistance modes and bringing Bluetooth connectivity.
The new Rockrider bikes have a 6061 aluminum frame, with the medium 500 S weighing 26.2 kg (~57.8 lbs) and the 520 S in the same size weighing 24.4 kg (~53.8 lbs).
