New Gin X e-bike with Tesla grade battery launches with discount
A new version of the Gin X e-bike is now available in the UK: the Gin X electric bike integrated display (250W). As its name indicates, the latest model features a built-in screen between the handlebars. The company suggests that, as well as an enhanced appearance, the new screen is more secure as it cannot be accidentally detached from the handlebars or stolen.
The Gin X’s integrated display shows information such as your speed, distance travelled and remaining battery level, all of which were also available on the older model’s unit. Besides the built-in screen, the e-bike appears identical to the original 250W model, with a Bafang motor assisting you at speeds of up to 16 mph (~25 kph) across five modes. The electric bicycle features a thumb-throttle, and a Tesla grade 615Wh battery allows you to ride with assistance for over 75 miles (~121 km). Other features on the 7-speed model include a suspension fork with preload, 27.5 x 2.1-in all-terrain tires and hydraulic disc brakes from Zoom. The model weighs 20 kg (~43 lbs) with an aluminum frame and integrated lights.
The built-in display model first appeared on the brand’s social media channels in August but has only recently arrived for general sale. You can currently buy the model for the discounted price of £1,190 thanks to a Green Friday sale; when this event ends, the e-bike is expected to retail for £1,590. The company’s website states they will ship internationally, though additional fees apply.
