Dell releases new lightweight 14-inch laptop internationally with 120 Hz display and 32 GB RAM

Dell has released another 14-inch laptop internationally. Specifically, the company is selling the Dell 14 D14265 with the Ryzen 3 210 or Ryzen 5 220 as alternative to the older Dell 14 DC14255 (curr. $799 on Amazon). Re-badged Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 8000 processors, the Ryzen 3 210 and Ryzen 5 220 combine Zen 4 and Zen 4c CPU cores on a 4 nm node with 28 W TDPs.
Also, these Hawk Point-based processors include the Radeon 740M, which is only powerful to play older triple-A titles at 720p or 1080p. Regardless, the Dell 14 14265 should handle some light gaming better than the 2-core Xe3 iGPU inside the Dell 14 D14261, according to our benchmarks. Moreover, the new 14-inch laptop contains a 54 Wh battery and a 14-inch IPS display with a 1200p resolution, 400 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Nonetheless, the Dell 14 14265 weighs just 1.2 kg. Pricing starts at AUD 1,129 in Australia, thereby undercutting the Dell 14 D14261 by AUD 20 (~$15). Meanwhile, the new 14-inch laptop costs at least NZD 1,299, MYR 3,929 and SGD 1,209 (~$950) in New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore, respectively. While the laptop starts with 8 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, one can configure 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM running in dual-channel mode. Likewise, one can swap the default 512 GB drive for a 1 TB alternative.
For the time being, we cannot find any references to the Dell 14 D14265 outside of Oceania and Southeast Asia. By contrast, the Dell 14 D14261 has reached Europe too. Please see our corresponding launch article for more details about this 14-inch alternative powered by Intel Wildcat Lake processors.
