Dell has announced a new version of the G7 15, the 7500. The G7 15 7500 comes with a choice of three Intel Comet Lake-H processors and four NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. Specifically, Dell will offer the laptop with the Core i5-10300H, Core i7-10750H or Core i9-10980HK and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti, GTX 1660 Ti, RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 Max-Q. These components can be paired with up to 1 TB of SSD storage and 16 GB of LPDDR4-2933 RAM.
Additionally, Dell will offer the choice of three displays, including a 400 nit and 4K OLED panel. This offers a refresh rate of 60 Hz, but 144 Hz and 300 Hz IPS options are available. These are only 1080p and 300 nit panels, though.
Connectivity options vary between SKUs, but all models will have one HDMI 2.0 port, three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, an SD card slot, a 3.5 mm headphone and microphone jack and a wedge lock slot. If you choose the GTX 1650 Ti edition, then you will also have a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt-Mode and an RJ45 port. Dell reserves a Thunderbolt 3 port, a Mini DisplayPort and a Killer Ethernet E2500V2 port for the GTX 1660 Ti and GeForce RTX SKUs.
All models come with a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard, stereo speakers and a 720p webcam. Dell will offer the G7 15 7500 with 56 Wh or 86 Wh batteries too, which can be recharged with 130 W and 240 W AC adapters, respectively.
The G7 15 7500 measures 18.3 x 357.2 x 267.7 mm (0.72 x 14.1 x 10.5-inches), making it slightly more compact than its predecessor. The hinge design of this years G7 15 has also been changed. Dell has removed the numeric keyboard, too. The new G7 15 will be available from June 29 in the US and will start at US$1,429.99. The company is yet to announce any details on international availability or pricing.
