UserBenchmark confirms Dell Inspiron 15 7506 2-in-1 Tiger Lake refresh with an Intel Core i7-1165G7 and a 4K display
Dell may have only just released Ryzen 4000 versions of the Inspiron 14 7000 2-in-1, but a new UserBenchmark listing suggests that the company has stayed true to Intel its next 15-inch Inspiron 2-in-1. According to the listing, Dell is planning to release a Tiger Lake refresh of its 15-inch Inspiron 2-in-1 series.
Only one listing has currently been published, which shows the Inspiron 15 7506 2-in-1 with a Core i7-1165G7. However, we would expect Dell to offer multiple processor options whenever it announces the device. The Core i7-1165G7 is based on four Willow Cove cores and can execute up to eight threads simultaneously with Intel Hyper-Threading. UserBenchmark reports the CPU as having a 2.8 GHz base clock that it can boost up to an average of 3.8 GHz. It also refers to the processors as having a UHD Graphics GPU, which is currently thought to be a Xe GPU based on Intel's new Gen12 architecture. As Intel has already revealed, Tiger Lake-U processors should offer significantly better graphics performance than their Ice Lake-U predecessors.
The listing also describes the device as having a 3,840 x 2,160 display. In other words, the Inspiron 15 7506 2-in-1 will have a 4K display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The device will have dual-channel RAM too, which should have been expected.
The release date for the Inspiron 15 7506 2-in-1 is not yet known. However, Intel is expected to announce Tiger Lake-U processors in early September, so we should see Tiger Lake laptops arriving in late Q3 2020 or by Q4 2020 at the latest.
