DJI Air 3S: Official photos leak showing unreleased drone as new launch date and price reduction also mooted
DJI released two new products over the summer. For context, the company introduced the Osmo Action 5 Pro and Neo (curr. $199 on Amazon) in the wake of competitor launches from the likes of GoPro and HOVERAir. However, it seems that DJI is not done with drone releases this year just yet.
Instead, new leaks suggest that the company intends to unveil a successor to both the Air 2S and Air 3. As previous rumours suggested, the drone in question is the Air 3S, which appears set to be available in multiple Fly More Combo accessories packs. Allegedly, DJI will offer the drone with not just the new RC-N3 remote controller that debuted with the Neo, but also the RC 2 that can already be configured with multiple other DJI drones like the Mini 4 Pro.
Reportedly, DJI has settled on €1,359 (~$1,492) launch pricing for the Air 3S Fly More Combo with an RC 2 remote controller. If that is the case, then this would undercut the existing Air 3 by €30 (~$33). Separately, various leakers have shared a mountain of official device photos, many of which we have embedded below. While full camera specifications remain unknown for now, the photos provide a few hints, including an f/2.4 aperture for the drone's bottom camera. Based on the final image below, an October 15 launch could be on the cards; this remains unconfirmed for now, though.
