The DJI Air 3S recently passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on its way to being released. While approval from the FCC is not always a guarantee of a device's impending launch, various leakers have now discovered retail pricing for the same drone. Thus, it would appear that DJI will be unveiling the Air 3S within the next few weeks.
In short, the Air 3S will retail for significantly more than the Neo, which starts at $199 in the US. By contrast, one unnamed Australian retailer has listed the Air 3S for AUD$1,525.70 (~$1,040) with the RC-N3 remote controller that debuted alongside the Neo. Please note that this pricing includes Australia's Goods and Services Tax (GST), which generally adds 10% to a device's price.
Consequently, the Air 3S and RC-N3 should cost AUD$1,387 (~$946) before factoring in GST. Moreover, @Quadro_News has demonstrated that the same retailer intends to sell the Air 3S in two Fly More Combos distinguished by their RC-N3 and RC 2 remote controllers. Supposedly, these will be available for AUD$1,911.80 (~$1,304) and AUD$2,180.20 (~$1,487), including taxes.
Incidentally, @JasperEllens claims to have found a comparable retail listing for the Fly More Combo with an RC-N3 that has led him to believe the Air 3S and RC-N3 will land in Europe for €1,159. Regardless, it seems that the Air 3S may cost less than the Air 3 at launch, which starts at AUD$1,699/€1,209 (~$1,158/~$1,346) with an RC-N2 and rises to AUD$2,349 (~$1,602) with an RC 2. Presumably, DJI will share an Air 3S launch date later this month or in early October.
