Leakers in disagreement over DJI Air 3S release date as official promo footage emerges ahead of schedule
It looks for all intents and purposes that DJI will be releasing a new consumer-grade drone later this month. However, established leakers are now in active disagreement about a date for the drone's arrival, even after promotional footage showing one date surfaced online.
To recap, a slew of Air 3S-related leaks have recently appeared on X (formerly Twitter) from official images to specifications and official-looking datasheets covering the successor to last year's Air 3 successor (curr. $1,239 on Amazon). This time, @Quadro_News and @UKDroneClub have shared what they believe is DJI's official Air 3S teaser. Embedded below, the footage certainly looks legitimate and is reinforced by a DJI Indonesia Instagram post.
With that being said, @JasperEllens remains adamant that the Air 3S will arrive a week later on October 23, not October 15. To that end, it seems that only DJI Indonesia has posted about the 'Chase the View' event so far. Allegedly, while the company's other regional social media channels have since removed any references to said event.
Likewise, DJI's 'trailer' website still redirects to the Neo and not a forthcoming event. In other words, we would not rule October 15 having been the date that DJI had hoped to release the Air 3S, only to delay it a week as Ellens previously predicted.
