This January is shaping up to interesting for Casio fans, with bright, attention-grabbing models stealing the limelight so far. Yesterday, we covered the upcoming J Balvin x Casio collab in bold yellow. Now, the Japanese company is gearing up for a February release of its 'Power Pink' Series, featuring three distinct unisex models in - you guessed it - vibrant shades of pink. The series includes the octagonal Casio G-Shock GMA-P2100PP-4A, the larger GMA-S140PP-4A, and the minimalist GMD-S5610PP-4.
The GMA-P2100PP-4A comes in a vivid pink and retains the signature octagonal case design of the series. The GMA-S140PP-4A, slightly larger and built to be anti-magnetic, features a subtle purple tint that sets it apart from the rest. It should include features such as world time, a 1/1000-second stopwatch, speed indicator, countdown timer, and five daily alarms. Meanwhile, the GMD-S5610PP-4 leans into its roots as a more compact, origin-style digital watch with a softer pink tone. All three models are equipped with shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance.
The Power Pink Series will be priced competitively within Japan. The GMA-P2100PP-4A is listed at ¥18,700 (approximately $130), the GMA-S140PP-4A at ¥18,150 (approximately $126), and the GMD-S5610PP-4 at ¥14,300 (approximately $99). While scheduled for a Japanese launch, there is speculation about its availability in other regions, especially given the proximity to Valentine’s Day.
Based on recent trends and teasers, Casio appears to be expanding its focus on bold designs, with reports of a Barbie-themed G-Shock collaboration surfacing online as well. This aligns with the Power Pink Series, which should appeal to those who prefer more expressive color choices. Although details about an international release are unclear (as mentioned earlier), it doesn't seem very unlikely.
