The Wand Co., in an official partnership with Bethesda, has unveiled a wearable 1:1 Pip-Boy 3000 replica that runs the full Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas interfaces. It is effectively a functioning prop that, the company says, left Bethesda "with their mouths open" when shown the prototype.

In a recent interview with IGN, The Wand company’s co-founder, Chris Bernardo, sat down with journalists and unveiled a wearable 1:1 replica of the Pip-Boy 3000 from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. While on the outside, it looks like your run-of-the-mill showpiece, Bernardo revealed a fully working Pip-Boy 3000 with every entry and detail from both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. He also stated that Bethesda laid eyes on the collaboration prototype, “they just sat there with their mouths open.”

In the interview, Chris Bernardo sat down with IGN and told the story while showing the Pip-Boy, “For them to have designed it and worked on it for years and then to see it come to life and be really real is mind-blowing.”

The Pip-boy is the product of an official partnership with Bethesda and is priced at $299.99. It is now available for pre-order at the Bethesda Gear Store, with a shipping date of June 2026. Bernardo showed that the Pip-Boy 3000 switches between Fallout 3’s classic green and New Vegas’s Brown HUD on a 4-inch IPS LCD that mimics a vintage cathode-ray tube display with flickering effects from the game, which you tap and shake to fix, owing to the built-in accelerometer. However, for those who don't like this option, it can be turned off in settings.

The accelerometer can also be used to tilt the Pip-Boy 3000 while wearing it, allowing it to function as a fake Geiger counter that actually detects microwave radiation rather than the harmful ionizing kind, doubling as an FM radio.

The Pip-Boy 3000 replica also features the full version of the Atomic Command holotape mini-game, where you protect American landmarks from enemy nukes. At the back of the Pip-Boy is a bright LED torch, perfect for cosplay or exploring in the dark.

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, charging via USB-C, an adjustable memory foam cuff, and an ultra-dim mode to use the replica as an alarm clock. It also comes with its own aluminum Vault-Tec stand to prop it up while charging, during which vacuum-tube-themed orange light pulses and shines the Vault-Tec logo at the base of the stand.

The die-cast metal front, coated in gunmetal, can be chipped for an authentic Fallout experience, but the rest of the body is injection-molded ABS plastic. That is, however, understandable as the whole package weighs a hefty 724g.

The Pip-Boy 3000 goes far beyond honoring the original design, fulfilling a lifelong dream of many gamers who had to settle for a Pip-Boy 3000 replica that only functioned as a clock when Fallout 3: Survivors’ Edition was released nearly 17 years ago.
