Fallout's Season 2 finale raised as many questions as it answered, with plenty of clues as to where the cast is headed next in the very popular post-apocalyptic series over the next season. (Spoilers ahead)

Fallout's second season was capped by Walton Goggins’ tear-jerking performance at the end of the finale, as he finally nears the end of his century-long quest to find his family. Sadly for those rooting for him, he is left disappointed because “he bet on hope.”

After opening the cryotubes for his wife and daughter, he sees they are empty; however, he finds a postcard on the former’s chair. A postcard with the words “ Colorado was a good idea” written on the back. The last we see of the Ghoul is a shot of him walking towards the Rocky Mountain Range.

Now that we know that Colorado is in play, fans are now possibly looking at certain storylines from Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel being adapted for season 3 of the show. In the game, we learn of a secret vault, and that most other vaults were not for experiments or management. It was used to house the ‘intellectually superior’ of America before the war.

It would function as the command center for all other vaults and would be responsible for reshaping the rest of humanity after the war had ended. Labelled Vault 0, it is also the same place where the President of the United States would be secured, the same president, who was given cold fusion by Cooper Howard. Played by actor Clancy Brown, known for many famous roles like The Kurgan from Highlander.

With good ol' Coop headed that way, their reunion promises to be an eventful one, especially with the Legion heading their way and the Brotherhood of Steel’s newly adopted doctrine under Elder Quintus.

Fans have now theorized that we would see this story play out in the next season of Fallout, especially with the finale, which shows the future plans of “Quintus the Destroyer” as he unveils his plan to acquire a new deadly weapon, Liberty Prime Alpha. Liberty Prime is a monstrous robot, made to fight off the invading Chinese armies, with the ability to literally intercept nuclear payloads and chuck them back at the opposing forces. The Alpha is its upgraded version.

Among other popular theories that fans have brought up is the discovery of a new enemy faction, The Enclave, a super-secret organization whose goal is to control and shape humanity's future, and with that, the rumour of a new protagonist from the game, making his way into the show, the elusive mastermind keeping the Enclave’s plans in motion.

For now, most of this is speculation coming from fans of the games. It wouldn’t be surprising for the writers to take what they need from the game and make the rest their own. After all, a recent rumour about the husky remains of House seems not to have played out on the show as theorized previously.
