Ghost of Yotei Update Highlights
- New Game Plus launches November 24.
- Keep all gear, weapons, armor sets, and abilities from your first playthrough.
- Adds new difficulty options, two new Trophies, 30+ cosmetics, 10 new charms, improved Photo Mode, and replayable post-game content.
New Game Plus Breakdown
New Game Plus unlocks after completing the main story. Once active, players can restart Atsu’s journey with every piece of equipment, ability, and armor set already earned. The update also introduces a new, harder difficulty tier and two additional Trophies tied to NG+ progression.
New Vendor and Ghost Flowers Currency
The update adds a new merchant, Masujiro the Melodious, along with a new currency called Ghost Flowers. Players can exchange Ghost Flowers for a wide range of unlockables, including:
- 30+ new cosmetics, such as armor sets and weapon dyes
- 10 new charms offering additional build variety
An extra upgrade tier has also been added for existing armor sets and weapons, giving completionists new progression to chase even after finishing the campaign.
Post-Game Replayability and Accessibility Options
The base game will receive notable improvements as well. After completing the main story, players will be able to replay select post-game content with a new stats overlay that displays both the challenge difficulty and the time required to complete it. Additional accessibility options are also included, such as the ability to remap directional buttons for more comfortable play.
Photo Mode Enhancements
Photo Mode gets a meaningful upgrade with new tools for creative players. The update adds:
- Shutter-speed controls
- A composition grid
- Several new filters
Offering more fine-tuned control for capturing cinematic shots across Ezo.
Looking Ahead to Ghost of Yotei Legends
The update concludes with a brief reminder that Ghost of Yotei Legends is still slated for release in 2026. Sony has not yet announced any plans for a PC version of Ghost of Yotei.
